All communication between coaches and athletes will take place either in person (at practice or meets) or via the Remind App. This is a change from past years when we used Slack (which is no longer approved by the Davis School District) to communicate.
However, most, if not all of our athletes (and many of our parents!), should be familiar with Remind from school, so we're hopeful it's not too big of a change.
Each athlete will need to join at least 2 Remind groups: (i) the main NHS Track & Field Remind Group, in which we will post information related to all athletes and all events; and (ii) the Remind group(s) for their specific events(s).
If an athlete is not sure which events they are going to compete in, they can just join the main Remind group until they have decided. If athletes have questions, they can talk to any of the coaches.
Join the Main NHS Track & Field Remind Group
To sign up, athletes should install the Remind App on their phones, and then either scan the large QR code to the right or visit the following link: https://www.remind.com/join/c24b3b3. This will send a request to add them to the NHS Track and Field group. Once a coach approves the request, they will be in the group and will receive the messages.
Join the Event Remind Groups
To join the event Remind groups, the process is the same as above, just use the expanding links to the right to find your specific group, and then either scan the QR code or visit the appropriate link. Once your event coach receives, reviews, and approves your request, you'll receive messages for your training group.
